Today, on November 2nd, we join our Hispanic community in celebrating Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) — a beautiful tradition that honors the lives of loved ones who have passed on. �

At Lara Academy we believe that being a culturally responsive school means embracing and celebrating the diverse traditions that make up our community. By recognizing Día de los Muertos, we not only honor our Hispanic students and families, but also nurture a deeper sense of belonging, identity, and emotional connection for all. �

Laredo’s combined law enforcement officials including Laredo ISD Police Departments, in conjunction with the City of Laredo Police Department, the Webb County Sheriff’s Office, and the Constable’s Office reminded the public about school bus safety, speed limits and the use of electronic devices while driving in school zones. Monday, August 11, is the first day of class for Laredo ISD.
